Safeguarding

Kingstone Academy Trust is fully committed to ensuring that all actions taken across our schools prioritise the safety and protection of children. Safeguarding is embedded in every aspect of school life—from daily attendance to meeting the specific needs of individual pupils.

The welfare and protection of children and staff is not only a key priority across the Trust, but it is central to everything we do. All members of our Trust community—including staff, volunteers, and any adults on site—share a collective responsibility to safeguard children and report any concerns promptly.

Each school within the Trust has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and at least one Deputy DSL. In addition, a Trustee with responsibility for safeguarding ensures compliance and oversight at Trust level.

All staff receive comprehensive safeguarding training, and our Safeguarding Policy is reviewed annually to reflect the latest statutory guidance, including updates to Keeping Children Safe in Education. This policy works in conjunction with other key documents such as our Safer Recruitment, Whistleblowing, and Anti-Bullying policies.

Copies of these policies are available under the Policies section of this website.
