Kingstone High School is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to teach across the subject and ability range for KS3 and KS4 science. The successful applicant will have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities and be dedicated to raising their attainment. We are a growing school and looking to add to our science department and the post is an exciting opportunity for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.
The successful applicant will be a talented practitioner with high aspirations for all students and a commitment to developing creative and well planned lessons. The Science department has a strong, successful team with a proven track record of achieving results well above the national average. Each member of the Science faculty has their own laboratory equipped with an IWB and access to separate ICT suites.

DT Technician: Resistant Materials, Art and DT Food
Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probationary period.
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only, plus 5 days.
Grade: Salary HC4

Kingstone High School is seeking to appoint a capable, enthusiastic and practical Design Technology Technician to split their time between the subject areas of Resistant Materials, Art and Design and DT Food and Nutrition. You will require a good understanding of the principles of health and safety and food hygiene.
The position involves preparation of Design and Technology materials (e.g. Wood, Plastic and Metals) such as measuring and cutting for teaching staff demonstrations and disposal of equipment and materials afterwards. Previous experience in operating machinery and handling materials is useful, however training will be provided where required essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
● preparing equipment and teaching areas
● maintaining equipment
● ensuring a safe environment for students and staff
The successful applicant will need to be flexible and able to prioritise workload. The role will include ownership of the areas in which you work, to include tidiness and cleanliness to a high standard, so you will be organised and methodical. You will be working in support of close-knit teams and so you must be approachable, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done well.
