Maths Challenge Success Yr 7 & Yr 8 UKMT
On the 24th June, 70 students from Years 7 and 8 were asked to take part in the UK Maths Trust Junior Maths Challenge online.
The Junior Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice competition aimed at students across the UK.
It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
The problems on the Junior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think. Most are accessible, yet still challenge those with more experience
To recognise the highest performers in the Challenge, we award the top-scoring 40% of participants Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1
51 students successfully took part and 12 students scored within the top 40% nationally! Those students are listed below. Please can you give this a big mention in the roll of honour.
