Y10 visit University of Worcester

Year 10 GCSE PE and Sport Science students visit the University of Worcester

On Wednesday 11th May, Year 10 GCSE PE and Sport Science students went to the University of Worcester to attend a taster day to give an insight into potential career pathways in sport, as well as options for courses at degree level.

Students completed workshops in Biomechanics, looking at how the body moves using state-of-the-art movement analysis technology. Additionally, students got to access the fitness labs and completed tests that will form part of their data for their upcoming coursework projects. It was a great opportunity to see first hand the tools and resources that had been discussed in lesson and experience them in the flesh.

The students worked really well throughout the day, asking some really stimulating questions in the workshops to the lecturers who were impressed with their knowledge. On top of this, students interacted with the student ambassadors really well, showing that the trip had really started to stimulate ideas about progression onto University.

Well done to all that attended, we hope you found it as useful as we did. Now to complete the rest of the tests and no doubt achieve excellent coursework marks.
