KHS commemorate International Women's Day

Marked annually on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women's achievements and raise awareness about women's equality. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

At Kingstone High School today, all students attended an assembly led by Mr Morris who made his focus on International Women’s Day the misrepresentation of women in the film industry.  Students were actively engaged in the assembly, sharing their thoughts and evaluating the various clips that were shown.  They left the assembly with a greater understanding of how they can contribute to gender equality as individuals.
