Alan Bennett once said that 'a book is a device to ignite the imagination', I may be bias (I am an English teacher after all), but I think he's right. Books have the ability to transport us to remote islands, across galaxies and into magical places. 

As part of our pledge to get students reading, all Year 7 students were gifted a book from The Book Trust. They were given a selection of books to choose from and then received their own free copy to read and keep. It was great to see so much enthusiasm at this Book Buzz event and we can't wait to hear what they thought of their books.
