Transition from Primary School

Kingstone High School is here to help you through the transition to High School.

At Kingstone High School  students are placed in a form group, with a form tutor who will be their key point of contact.   As well as the form tutor, the Year 7 Pastoral Lead is there to help students settle in and is also a point of contact for parents.

Year 6

In Year 6, students are visited by the Year 7 Pastoral Lead and Head of Year in their schools to talk about transferring to Kingstone High School.

In the Summer Term all students in Year 6, who have a place at Kingstone High School in Year 7, will be invited to our Induction Day and to an Induction Evening.  On the Induction Day, they will have the chance to experience a range of lessons with Kingstone High School teachers.

The Induction Evening is an opportunity for parents and carers and their children meet and spend time with form tutors, share any concerns and explore Kingstone High School further.

If your child has any Special Educational Needs there will be further transition opportunities available.
