Curriculum Information

At Kingstone we aim to provide a personalised curriculum which will engage, inspire and challenge all our students. We believe that learning experiences should extend beyond the classroom and across subject boundaries. All students have opportunities to participate in a local, national and international trips and activity days and events which will support and add value to their learning. We also offer a huge range of extra-curricular activities which offer something for everyone.

At Key Stage 3 students (Years 7, 8 and 9) study a broad range of subjects which not only prepares them for their examination courses to come but also develops their skills as learners and young people. Key Stage 3 students are taught either in sets or in mixed ability groups depending on the subject. The links on the left will give you information about our curriculum for Years 7, 8 and 9 in each faculty.

At Key Stage 4 ( years 10 & 11) all students study a compulsory core curriculum which comprises English, Science, Maths and PE. The remainder of curriculum time comprises the option subjects. The Options Information button will give you the information about each of the courses we offer at Key Stage 4.
